Born July 19, 1962 in Los Angeles, California but was raised in Hawaii by a single mother. I have three brothers and one sister. I attended a Christian school, Punahou School from the eight grade on. I graduated from NYU with a degree in Business Management and Marketing, and from their graduate school of business with a degree in Finance and International Business and worked for 17.5 years in business management, finance, and accounting, and taught business and math for 2.5 years at the University of Hawaii-Kapiolani Community College.
I found the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Honolulu in December 2005 and have been a Disciple ever since. I also completed a CPE unit in Honolulu at two hospitals, and have served as a seminary intern for the Forest Hill Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in San Francisco. While in seminary, I have served in student government for three years, one year as moderator, served for three years as a student representative for the Board of Trustees Seminary and Church Relations Committee, and for two years as the student representative for the CPE Advisory Board. I have also been the Head Shepherd for the incoming class of students for the current Middler class. |
