Ministry Opportunity Description |
| |
|
|
Major Responsibilities:
•Serve as staff lead for the ministries of the Children, Youth, & Families (“CYF”) Council, Women’s Ministries, and Fellowship Groups
•Develop, implement, and foster intergenerational ministries at Westminster
CYF
•Provide direction and leadership to age-level and family programs from Nursery through High School, working closely with CYF Council
•Supervise staff in Nursery, Children’s Ministry, and Youth programs; connect with youth music programs; liaison to Camp Ajawah
•Guide children and youth in faith formation; assist with curriculum development across ages, including sexuality curriculum
•Be actively involved with M.S. and H.S. programs, supporting the Director of Middle and High School Ministries; provide pastoral leadership on mission trips
•Serve as lead for Confirmation program, develop curriculum, and recruit and support mentors and adult leaders
•Recruit and support lay leaders and volunteers
Women’s Ministries and fellowship
•Support Women’s Ministries, including Beyond Sunday Connections, Faith Nixon Symposium, Women’s Retreat and WOW (Westminster on Wednesdays)
•Support Fellowship Groups, including Dinners for 8 and The Great Over Fifties
Other Duties
· Participate in worship services, including preaching occasionally; Officiate at baptisms, weddings, and memorial services, as assigned
· Call on members as needed to support the Congregational Care team
· Attend Session meetings
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Pastor/Head of Staff
