|
A. Leadership
1.Serve as Head of Staff; oversee/coordinate staff and their development, and ministry 2.With Session promote a common WPC vision and mission 3.Encourage by word and example member participation in the full life of WPC 4.Emphasize congregational communication 5.Conduct regular staff meetings 6.Participate in and oversee annual staff evaluations
B. Worship
1.Deliver scripture-based sermons that inspire, encourage, challenge, and sustain members in Christian faith and service in everyday life 2.Preach multiple services each Sunday, sharing the pulpit approximately once a month with Associate Pastors 3.Conduct baptisms, weddings and funerals as requested by families
C. Stewardship – Participate in and support Resources Ministry with annual General Fund Stewardship campaigns, stewardship education of congregation and any capital campaigns
D. Christian Education – Work closely with Director of Education Ministries to support and guide spiritual formation within the congregation; be a resource for developing adult education programs
E. Governing Bodies and Ecumenical Work – Participate in Presbytery and other PC (USA) bodies; maintain a commitment to ecumenical and interfaith activities
F. Other – Participate, with Associate Pastors, in pastoral care and counseling; attend WPC functions; be involved in community activities as a witness of the Church
