Ministry Opportunity Description |

|
1. Lead worship, preach, administer the sacraments of Baptism and the Lords Supper, and pray with and for the congregation. 2. Serve as moderator of Session. 3. Support and assist Session, other attending boards and the congregation, to implement programs that will enable the church to grow in mission and achieve its potential in a growing community. 4. Provide pastoral leadership to our congregation of fewer than 100 participants, working with the Session, Deacons, and Trustees and serving as head of staff, demonstrating strong people skills and providing leadership in stewardship. 5. Provide emergency pastoral care, devoting special attention to the poor, the sick, the troubled, and the dying. 6. Support and assist opportunities for spiritual renewal and Christian education among the leadership and members of the congregation. 7. Participate and support community interfaith in ecumenical activities. 8. Demonstrate habits of hard work balanced by appropriate self-care including taking time for vacation and continuing education.
1. The Pastor will work approximately 24-32 hours per week, with compensation and benefits to be negotiated between the Session and the Pastor, using Presbytery guidelines as a reference. 2. The contract is for one year with the option for renewal, agreeable to both parties and Presbytery. |
