Prayer Experiences for Worship
Saturday, September 27, 2014, 9:00am - 4:00pm
Montgomery Chapel

Offered by SFTS Chaplain Rev. Scott Clark, this workshop will explore the central role of prayer in worship. Participants will experience different ways that we pray in worship - through the words of liturgy, sung prayer, incorporating silence in worship, praying for each other and for the concerns of the world, to name a few. Working with the SFTS Worship Team, the workshop participants will craft a worship service, creating interactive prayer stations. By the conclusion of the day, we hope that participants will have a number of new prayer ideas and experiences to share with their congregations in worship.

Praying a Liturgical Environment
Saturday, November 8, 2014, 9:00am - 4:00pm
Scott 101

Offered by Rev. Jeff Gaines, this workshop will explore creating a liturgical environment for the Season of Lent through imagination, discussion, lecture and hands-on experience. The lectionary texts will be prayed in order to discover a theme, visual focus, and overall environment for the liturgical setting.

A nominal fee of $100 to cover the cost of all four courses will be charged at the time of this workshop, and lunch will be available for an additional fee. To reserve your spot in these courses, please register today!
