|Vital Ministry for a New Generation: An Evening with Carol Howard Merritt|
Wednesday, October 23, 7:00pm-9:00pm
Scott Hall - Room 101, San Francisco Theological Seminary Campus
Carol Howard Merritt – award-winning author and blogger – is hosting a forum at San Francisco Theological Seminary (SFTS) to discuss new ways of being a church and reaching out to younger generations in the dynamic cultural context of the 21st century church. What will the future of ministry – in, with, and by a new generation – look like in the face of this new religious landscape? Carol Howard Merritt will discuss the ways in which we are already adapting, and how we can continue to work through our current structures, sort out the best parts, acknowledge and heal from the worst parts, and reframe it all.
Merritt is a pastor at Western Presbyterian Church in Washington, D.C., the award-winning author of Tribal Church (Alban Institute, 2007) and Reframing Hope (Alban Institute, 2010), and the Co-Host of the God Complex Radio podcast. Directly prior to this event, she is participating in Uncoference West 2013 (UNCO13), which is also on the SFTS campus.
To participate in this conversation and attend Vital Ministry for a New Generation: An Evening with Carol Howard Merritt, register today! The event is free to attend, and refreshments will be served.
